Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) is holding its signature fall fundraiser, the “Stroll to the Sea” Dog Walk, digitally this year. Presented by Chaser and The Corcoran Group, the 27th iteration will be held from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11.
Pet owners are encouraged to take their fur babies and the rest of the family on a stroll – to the sea or any other desired location and back – during the week-long digital benefit.
“Although we are disappointed that we won’t be seeing our dog walk friends in person- we are hopeful that this year, ARF supporters, both near and far, will walk to help raise funds for the cats and dog,” Jamie Berger, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) Director of Marketing & Communications, shared.
As per usual, Isaac Mizrahi has lent his talents to design the official “Stroll to the Sea” t-shirt – which will be manufactured by event sponsor Chaser – that all participants will receive. Strollers can either pick up the t-shirt at a drive through station at the ARF Adoption Center in East Hampton on Saturday, October 3, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – or have them mailed.
“Dog walkers, while wearing their event t-shirt, made by Chaser with artwork by Isaac Mizrahi, are encouraged to mark their participation on social media by tagging @arfhamptons and using #ARFpride #ARFDogWalk,” Berger said.
The registration fee is $30, and children 10 and under can register for just $10. However, participants may collect pledges in support of ARF on their “Stroll to the Sea” fundraising page or join a team.
“Prizes will be awarded for those who raise the most money and for those who show the most spirit on social media. We are excited to see their creativity,” Berger added. The top fundraisers will have the chance to win a summer share for the 2021 season at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett, an 8″ x 10″ acrylic portrait of your pet by artist Ellen Silverberg, and a photo shoot with Dee McMeekan of dee is for dogs. Those that champion the cause on social media will be vying for amazing gifts from local businesses.
