INTERVIEW: Vita Liberata Brand Educator, Silver Goodwin, Talks Getting the Glow Without the Damage

I spoke with Vita Liberata Brand Educator, Silver Goodwin, to learn more about the business and globally known products that keep people shining without the harsh chemicals.

Vita Liberata was founded in Northern Ireland and is now used by customers from around the world. Can you speak to the brand and why you think it has managed to be so successful?

SG: Selecting sunless tanners has been a process which has evolved greatly throughout the years. Vita Liberata has truly been exceptional is delivering a luxe quality tan, while addressing some of the nuances associated with ‘classic” sunless-tan concerns; brassiness, offensive odor, lots of alcohol and dryness on the skin, and sticky residue feel. Our clients love that their skin is enveloped in moisture, while still being able to go about their day, and remain confident that the color payoff is truly Sunkissed, and long lasting.

What personally drives you to work for Vita Liberata?

SG: I love that we are always keeping skin nourishing formulations in mind when we have product discussions. We have an awesome team in place, consisting of multi-faceted professionals. Lastly, I love to make sure I always have a deep- tan and healthy glow. I’m Jersey ALL DAY!

There’s nothing worse than putting on tanning cream and waking up the next morning with uneven spots and streaks. What is your #1 tip for a consistent tanning cream finish?

SG: Absolutely! Please make sure that your skin is properly exfoliated, and free of emollients; this will create a barrier and not allow the tan to truly penetrate and develop. Having the perfect room temperature is key when doing the overnight timing; make sure you are cool, and not sweating and preferably remove excess bedding. This way you are comfortable, and the during sleep, nothing is smearing or wiping away any product. Darker bedding preferred, as to avoid product transfer.

Do you recommend different usage depending on the seasons?

SG: Absolutely! We show more skin depending on the climate of where you are, and of course this isn’t always relegated to summer. I love the Blur range year round, for face and body. Double this pairing with fabulous gradual when needing more hydration for the moisture depleting months such as fall winter. For extreme heat; phenomenal and Invisi foaming tanning water are awesome on the skin alone, and feel next to nothing; this way you can head out and not be weighed down and still get your optimal tanning results.
