Southampton Village has welcomed Textures Atelier, a bespoke design studio specializing in custom-designed hand crafted rugs and artisan goods. The store focuses on collaborations with architects, designers, and clients to create personalized unique pieces for the home. The rugs are made using all natural materials handwoven in Nepal and India with expert craftsmanship.
Founder of Textures Atelier, Paula Lajaunie-Viscogliosi, has over 25 years of experience in the design world and she is most excited about bringing both boutique personalized services and luxury product experience to the East End community. Atelier is also home to the artisanal textile product line, Libéllule, and the Art Caravan collection where clients can sell and purchase original artwork through specially curated exhibits.
“Our atelier in Southampton is a place where artists, artisans, clients, designers and friends collaborate and tell their stories through the creative exchange of ideas, colors and textures,” said Founder Paula Lajaunie-Viscogliosi. “We love how the intersection of different mediums can inspire new and innovative ideas and products.”
Textures Atelier is a member of Good Weave International, an organization committed to ending global child labor within the rug industry. A percentage of all sales are used to develop educational programs for children in the communities where the rugs are made.
“We have a holistic personalized approach to our design process and creation of our artisanal products,” Lajaunie-Viscogliosi added. “We are so thrilled to have this unique creative atelier space in the heart of the Southampton Village and are inspired to create textural beauty with and for our clients.”
The store is focused on the connection between artisans and clients, making them a part of the creative process. Paula and her team celebrate people’s unique stories through artisanal old world craftsmanship and innovative modern design.
Textures Atelier is located at 48 Main Street in Southampton. Guests can find the Atelier one flight of stairs up from the street. For more information, visit texturesatelier.com.
