Historic Hamptons Restaurant To Re-Open Doors For 51st Year After Brief Hiatus

After being closed for renovations the past three years, Old Stove Pub, a classic Hamptons spot, is opening its doors for its 51st season. This iconic restaurant is well known for live music and delicious cuisine. The Pub has been newly restored and features an innovative menu along with classic favorites.

The eatery was briefly put on the market. Its new operator and owner, Joseph DeCristofaro decided to open the location for business once again.

“The Old Stove Pub holds a special place in the hearts of Hamptonites,” noted DeCristofaro. “The history of the Pub is so rich, and restoring this property was a true labor of love. We are proud to introduce the new and improved Old Stove Pub back into the community at this moment and looking forward to a very special summer and fall.”

DeCristofaro is Southampton local and also works as a Real Estate Broker, investor, and entrepreneur. He is a hospitality industry veteran and his past endeavors include several Hamptons-based restaurants.

Old Stove Pub will officially open its stores the first week of July 2020. Dinner service is available Wednesday through Sunday and the eatery will be open year-round. Outdoor dining and a dedicated area for cocktails will be offered during the summer months.

To abide by social distancing rules, Old Stove Pub has transformed a large outdoor space with a dining patio and large grounds offering picnic tables, waitress service, and lite fare. There is also limited indoor seating available that abides by social distancing guidelines.

Old Stove Pub’s cuisine includes Greek and Mediterranean influence with locally sourced food. Some of the classic Old Stove Pub dishes include Sagaponack Dry Rubbed Steak and Greek Salad. Returning guests will be pleased to see the famed piano tuned and carefully relocated to the porch! Signature artwork by Leroy Neiman will be on display in the indoor dining room.

The iconic restaurant is known for its slogan: “When You’re Fed Up with the Chic, Come to the Greek!” Originally constructed in 1820 and utilized as a farmhouse, the property became an Irish pub in 1967. It then transitioned to a Greek restaurant and steakhouse in 1969. It’s known for its dedicated patrons, live music nights, and delicious Greek and steakhouse cuisine.
