Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a holiday party at Doubles on Friday night. Traditions, in the form of dress code, etiquette and exclusivity have been passed from generation to generation by both members and management of Doubles. Wendy Carduner runs the club with the same eye for tradition and detail as her father, founding member Joe Norban. Other Doubles club founding members included Pat Buckley, Mica Ertegun, Nan Kempner, Pat Patterson, Harry Platt and Tom Pulling. Doubles first opened in 1976, since then it’s had four redesigns but, it still looks the same- a red velvet oasis on Fifth Avenue under the Sherry Netherland Hotel.
