Hundreds of “attendees” joined Surgeons of Hope for its 8th annual Celebrating Our Heart Heroes gala, held virtually. Chaired by philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff, the evening exceeded its fundraising goals. Proceeds from the soiree will support Surgeons of Hope’s efforts to train local pediatric cardiac teams and provide lifesaving surgery for poor children with heart conditions in Latin America in 2021.
