If you are an observant person, last week you could have had a sneak peek at the new street sign that was “planted” by Matthew MacPherson and Raymond Saar of the East Hampton Village Department of Public Works at the corner of Buell Lane and Toilsome Lane. The official dedication took place on Saturday afternoon, honoring former East Hampton Village Mayor Kenneth Wessberg, Sr. Town Historian Hugh King told some inside stories about the life and accomplishments of the late Mr. Wessberg. Two other Kenneth Wessbergs (Junior and the III’d) joined local dignitaries, including East Hampton Village Chief of Police Michael Tracey and Trustee Rosemary Brown in honoring the Mayor, who served from 1983 until 1992.
