Long Island Cares, Inc. held its inaugural East End Farmer’s Market at their Hunger Assistance and Humanitarian Center of the Hamptons in Hampton Bays. It is estimated that food insecurity on Long Island has increased by more than 63 percent since March of 2020. At the event, through the help of funding provided by Feeding New York State, Long Island Cares offered its member agencies unlimited boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to provide to families, children, seniors and veterans residing on the East End.
