In July 1993 the late Lieutenant Lee A. Hayes of the Tuskegee Airmen participated in the groundbreaking of Amagansett Youth Park at Town Lane and Abrahams Path. On Sunday, East Hampton Town Officials joined with the extended Hayes Family in honoring him at the official renaming ceremony of the Park to “Lt. Lee A. Hayes Youth Park”.
