Directed by RaMell Ross, Nickel Boys chronicles the powerful friendship between two Black teenagers who become wards of a juvenile reformatory in Jim Crow-era Florida.

Directed by Tim Fehlbaum, September 5 highlights the ABC Sports broadcasting team’s rapid shift from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics.
ANORA (NEON)
Directed by Sean Baker, Anora—this year’s Palme d’Or winner—follows a young sex worker from Brooklyn who gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she impulsively marries the son of an oligarch.
