On Saturday, August 14th the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) (www.arfhamptons.org) will host the Bow Wow Meow Ball @home, with guest host Chuck Scarborough of NBC as ARF presents Patsy Topping with the Lifetime Achievement Award, for her rescue and transport efforts in South Carolina, saving thousands of dogs and cats from certain death.
While the ARF campus is under construction to build its Forever Home, the public is invited to join in the festivities virtually and by watching at home or hosting a private viewing party from the comforts of their own home. The program, co-chaired by Ellen Scarborough and Richard Ziegelasch, will be highlighted by a short film titled Overlooked about two special animals who finally found their forever homes during the pandemic and the ever-popular Parade of Animals.
When Patsy Topping moved from her family’s Swan Creek Horse Farm in Bridgehampton to South Carolina, she encountered a problem not seen in the Hamptons for years – unaltered dogs producing unwanted puppies, year after year. Patsy began working with ARF to transport and rescue abandoned dogs. Thousands of dogs owe their lives to Patsy, and they have filled thousands of homes with unlimited love.
As a special tribute to Patsy, ARF is asking adopters of dogs and cats from South Carolina to share photos of their rescues and the lives they have since enjoyed. Please email photos to [email protected].

All proceeds from The Bow Wow Meow Ball @home will benefit ARF, a regional leader in New York for the rescue and adoption of cats and dogs. Since its inception, ARF has rescued more than 29,000 cats and dogs and placed them with loving families.
