Armory Show

Taking place at the Javits Center in New York City, the 2025 edition of the fair will feature more than 230 international galleries from 35-plus countries, reinforcing its global stature in modern and contemporary art. Now led by Kyla McMillan and owned by Frieze, this year’s fair unveils a new floor plan and curatorial approach, including the debut of Function, focused on the intersection of art and design. With immersive installations and citywide Armory Week events, the fair blends market power with cultural impact, marking a key moment in New York’s fall art season. September 5–7

US Open

The 2025 US Open in New York City is set to be a highlight of the fall season, taking place over 15 consecutive days for the first time at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Defending champions Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka return to face top contenders like Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, and Iga Swiatek. With a stacked men’s field and 98 of the top 99 female players, the tournament promises top-tier action from the start. Enhanced venues, celebrity sightings, and luxury experiences make the US Open not just a major tennis event, but as a marquee global event that blends sport, celebrity, and city style. August 24–September 7

New York Fashion Week

The fashion world flocks to the city that never sleeps as designers unveil their Spring/Summer 2026 collections across iconic venues and emerging spaces. Expect a dynamic week of more than 60 runway shows, presentations, and street-style moments, with both established fashion houses and buzzy newcomers lighting up the calendar. Look for celebrated American brands like Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors, Ulla Johnson, Tory Burch, and international labels including Off‑White, COS, Toteme, and more. Whether you’re in the front row or following along digitally, NYFW sets the tone for the season ahead. September 11–16 

New York Film Festival

The New York Film Festival returns this fall with its signature cinematic buzz and cutting-edge storytelling. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the festival has been a consistent cornerstone of the global film calendar, showcasing a selection of the year’s most anticipated films from renowned directors and producers. Expect premieres, panel discussions, and appearances by filmmakers and stars, all against the backdrop of NYC. September 26–October 13

Hamptons International Film Festival

A favorite on the East End’s fall calendar, the Hamptons International Film Festival blends storytelling with the charm of its coastal setting. Celebrating its 32nd year, the festival brings together filmmakers, actors, and moviegoers for a week of screenings, conversations, and awards honoring emerging talent and global voices. With a focus on independent film and social impact, it’s a must-go-to event for anyone passionate about the art of cinema in the Hamptons. October 3–13

New York City Ballet’s 2025 Fall Fashion Gala

This premier event at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center brings together ballet and high fashion. It features a world premiere by choreographer Jamar Roberts with costumes by Iris van Herpen, along with Gianna Reisen’s Composer’s Holiday (costumes by Virgil Abloh) and William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman pas de deux (costumes by Gianni Versace). The evening begins with a 5:30 p.m. cocktail reception from Ruinart Champagne, followed by a 7 p.m. performance and a formal dinner on the Promenade. Proceeds support the company’s artistic and educational programs. October 8

The Storm King Art Center Gala 2025

Held at the iconic Rainbow Room in New York City, this prestigious event honors artist Arlene Shechet and philanthropist John P. Stern, former board chair of Storm King Art Center.
