"Guild Hall has been a significant fixture of the East End for nearly 90 years. It is a critical cultural institution that provides art, theater, classes, and programs. It is essential to the community," Longo told us.
"Market Art + Design has long been known as an important cultural moment for the Hamptons summer season," explained Kelly Freeman. "This year's fair will see the continuation of this celebration with a much wider reach."
"I am awake at 8am to the sound of my little brother reciting the pledge. I teach him first then myself," Kathleen Berrezueta reflected.
"We are so humbled by the magnanimous generosity that has resulted in a fundraising exhibition that will highlight well over 70 works from emerging to established artists," said Simone Levinson, Founding Co-Chair, Board of Directors. "This event captures the spirit of Southampton Arts Center as we continue to be an economic driver for the village while building bridges...
"We hope people make it an event...picnic, wine, lawn chairs, as they usually do...and share the amazing musical experience with their friends!" Lilah Gosman, Music for Montauk Co-Founder, expressed.
"We noticed that while there was a lot of energy behind blue chip gallery exposure in East Hampton, there was a significant gap in exhibitions focusing on emerging and mid-career artists," Wang told us.
"Ugo Rondinone's visually arresting exhibition at Guild Hall caught the eye of Beyoncé and her team because of Rondinone's 'sun sculptures' (golden rings) and the thematic relationship to the cycle of life in The Lion King," Andrea Grover noted.
"We live about four tenths of a mile from the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. From our backyard, my wife Dorothy and I see part of it. Through the years, my wife, Dorothy, and I have been hiking there hundreds of times," Alpert told us.
"The Festival is an opportunity to shed light on different cultures and their life experiences. The only way that we are going to come together is to learn more about each other and to spend time with each other," Bonnie Michelle Cannon noted.
"With this visual album, I wanted to present elements of Black history and African tradition, with a modern twist and a universal message, and what it truly means to find your self-identity and build a legacy," Beyoncé explained.
