"'Alice in Wonderland' is very similar to 'The Nutcracker' with the evil Red Queen… you think the story of 'Alice in Wonderland' is nothing like 'The Nutcracker,' but for some reason it lines up really well and works," Shumway told us.

"Whether it's a scene or an entire film, cinemas and the movie going experience have been at the heart of so many movies…It seemed a natural theme for this last pre-opening series; and also a good way to acknowledge the extraordinary collective effort that made possible the rebuild of the Sag Harbor Cinema," Giulia D'Agnolo Vallan relayed.

If the holidays aren't complete without seeing a festive live production, you have several options in the Hamptons.

"Both shows, in partnership with SCC, use black boxes theatre styles and techniques to showcase our talented student actors and allow the audience to use their imaginations to enter the world of the play," Tamara Salkin shared.
