"We have been playing for sixteen years. When we started out we were focused on traditional classical music. That changed when we were actually inspired by music that was recorded in New York over 100 years ago by the masters of Klezmer music," Rande told Hamptons.com.
Women's Surf Film Festival founder Davina Grincevicius says, "we're deeply grateful that the Women's Surf Film festival is returning to the Montauk Beach House. It's a base for New York's surf community and provides such a warm and welcoming home to present the work of artists seeking to highlight women's experiences within the surf world."
"It is thrilling to be celebrating 10 years of ARTSI and our annual open studios event. Not much seems to have staying power anymore, so the fact that a group of local artists could come together and establish an organization and a community event that has remained popular for a decade is so gratifying," relayed Katherine Hammond.
"I was privileged to meet with him a few times and do some work for him, too," John Lloyd Young said about President Barack Obama.
"When the show begins, the audience will be greeted by twelve actors and a fantastic jazz trio lead by Musical Director Jonathan Mastro," Fox said of "Hearts Aflame."
"Anything we can do to help the Library, we're up for," Alec Baldwin told us.
"We're in a mass extinction event. So, we can't just fight for her, we have to fight for all of the animals that are in a similar position and recognize that this is a human induced mass extinction event," Dr. Cynthia Smith told Hamptons.com.
The main focus of the unique exhibition is Frank Mundus, a fisherman from Montauk and the inspiration for Jaws' Quinn.
"The first song I wrote, I just felt like I had expressed myself more honestly in a three minute song than I did in any of the six screenplays I've written or the paintings I painted. It was incredibly cathartic," Radin told us.
"In one day, we raise more than 10 percent of our operating budget. That really helps us to provide free programming all year long at the Library," Fabiszak told us.
