"As a life long photographer and professionally as a photo editor and photo historian, the discoveries I have made at Sylvester Manor have delighted me," Donnamarie Barnes shared. "From the basement to the attic, I've found photographs that range from Daguerreotypes to Polaroids."
"We hope inspiration among the beauty of the Halsey property and the house itself will contribute to the workshop poems by participants who will be given the opportunity to have their works performed at monthly readings," Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan stated.
"Shimon Okshteyn, a barometer of our time, points to aesthetic beauty, technical brilliance, and the narrative of art history as the building blocks of his life and art. In the mode of big bold painters, the work of Shimon Okshteyn astounds," Adam Umbach reflected.
The final concert of the season is always a little bitter sweet," said series founder, Nancy Remkus. "It has been another great series and we have so appreciated the support of our musicians and our audiences. I have so enjoyed meeting everyone that comes in the door to support local charities and our musicians."
This production of Don't Dress For Dinner is absolutely what local theater is totally about - a great live show that gives you the highest level of entertainment.
"I find it interesting that both artists, in their own way, slightly subvert our romanticized ideas of the past," Damien Roman said.
"This fine art show includes local artists whose works range in photography, oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media and sculptures," Danielle Leef shared.
"We had such a great response last season, that we wanted to expand to this new location," Johan Kugelberg explained.
"Art is my passion, conservation is my purpose, and for me the two are inseparable," said Shawn Heinrichs, who founded the Blue Sphere Foundation.
