"In my imagery, in my storytelling, in my conservation work that's where I start and I try to plant that seed because just maybe that one person in that room will get up, transform their lives, and become the next ambassadors for the change that we so desperately need," said Heinrichs.
"We are pleased to continue the Artists Speak series of intimate talks with distinguished artists begun in the early 80s. Our inaugural talk this season is with Judith Hudson who will engage in a lively dialogue on art and social issues with fellow artist Lucy Winton," said Esperanza Leon, administrative coordinator at The Art Barge.
Fellow Travelers is a hit because it is a great script that comes to life with excellent acting and wonderful directing.
"As a life long photographer and professionally as a photo editor and photo historian, the discoveries I have made at Sylvester Manor have delighted me," Donnamarie Barnes shared. "From the basement to the attic, I've found photographs that range from Daguerreotypes to Polaroids."
"We hope inspiration among the beauty of the Halsey property and the house itself will contribute to the workshop poems by participants who will be given the opportunity to have their works performed at monthly readings," Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan stated.
"Shimon Okshteyn, a barometer of our time, points to aesthetic beauty, technical brilliance, and the narrative of art history as the building blocks of his life and art. In the mode of big bold painters, the work of Shimon Okshteyn astounds," Adam Umbach reflected.
The final concert of the season is always a little bitter sweet," said series founder, Nancy Remkus. "It has been another great series and we have so appreciated the support of our musicians and our audiences. I have so enjoyed meeting everyone that comes in the door to support local charities and our musicians."
