"The decline over the past year can be attributed to the Hamptons, primarily the Town of Southampton which has seen revenues dipped by $6.29 million," noted Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr.
"We collected way over 100 gifts to share with those who might otherwise have none," shared Chief Lenahan.
"It really has become a successful, community fundraiser that we all look forward to going into the New Year," noted Vicki Littman, Polar Bear Plunge Chair.
"Our annual Ball Drop is such an incredibly unique opportunity for families to celebrate the New Year together," said Steve Long.
"Given the limited resources for economic recovery and the fire's economic impact on a small, yet vibrant and historic community, we should do everything in our power to help these small business owners recover from their tragic loss," they said.
"Montauk is a special place in the winter and we look forward to having guests and locals alike join us for the Polar Bear Plunge," said Michael Nenner.
Remodeled and renamed in 1936, the Sag Harbor Cinema, as it is sometimes referred to, reputedly presented the first "talkie" film on the East End.
"Six years ago, I couldn't imagine being where I am today," Regina Nielsen expressed.
"New York's history is this nation's history and we are leading the way to preserve the sites of significant events for future generations," Governor Andrew Cuomo said.
"We are very happy to give back in the spirit of the season to help ensure that our East End families with limited means are able to enjoy the holidays," explained Frank Quevedo.
