"We believe that by enhancing the understanding of the mental health issues that some of our veterans endure, such a close knit community as Montauk- which is already a huge supporter of veterans- would be able to facilitate help among the local support channels in the Hamptons," said Everett Weston.
"The Greenery Scenery Benefit is a wonderful Montauk tradition," said Montauk Village President, Nancy Keeshan. "Each summer the MVA holds this event to raise money for our village beautification program."
"The annual summer trek to the world famous Hamptons began in 1863 when Dr. Gilliard Thomas, a prosperous NYC gynecologist, went on a hiking trip to Long Island," explained Tom Edmonds.
"We want people to see and experience Montauk outdoors the way we do," said Laraine Creegan. "It is a beautiful community with a unique seaside character and a very special quality of life."
"This is a partnership of the Moving for Life organization which is comprised of amazing and concerned dance instructors," said Dede Gotthelf. "We hope that our community members will be able to and enjoy participating in this opportunity."
The children of Sophie Olender, along with relatives, have initiated a crowdfunding site to raise the necessary funds to absorb the financial burden of moving, incidental costs incurred when relocating, as well as educational costs.
"Perhaps the greatest gift to come from the LemonARF Program is not the money itself, which is always needed, but instead knowing that these children have had such a positive experience helping others in their community that they are sure to be great philanthropists all of their lives," explained Director of Philanthropy at ARF, Jennifer Rockford.
"We've learned that, in many cultures, black cats are said to bring good luck and prosperity to their owners," shared Dotti Donaldson and Fred Vanderwerven.
"We are honored and thrilled to have Gloria Steinem as our guest speaker at Guild Hall," remarked Executive Director of The Retreat, Loretta K. Davis. "Ms. Steinem is a champion of equal rights and civil rights, not only for women but for all individuals worldwide."
"Right now our biggest challenge is not running out of beer," Cutillo told Hamptons.com. "It is a testament to our fans and they are absolutely loving the brand and beer!"
