Many beloved fall East End 5K are still taking place this autumn - but due to COVID-19, they will be held virtually this year.
The East End of Long Island is a special place. This last year has been an example of the magnitude of just how unique of a place the East End is.
The Southampton School District has been recognized as a National Banner Unified Champion School by Special Olympics International.
I have spent the last 17 years infatuated with all things Gardiner's Island. I see it every time I sail in Gardiner's Bay, which is quite often.
"The Largest Clam Contest has been a fun, great tradition for the Town that is a lot of fun for the kids and it's all about our pastime of enjoying local resources," Dollinger told us.
"We wanted our children to join in the efforts, so came up with the idea of a socially distanced, anytime-in-September family walkathon," Trakovski told us.
The seasons are about to yet turn again with Labor Day now behind us and the year 2020 entering its final few months.
"I saw an article regarding the Springs Food Pantry and the difficulty food pantries are having related to the Covid virus, and since I participate in the Polar Plunge each year and am familiar with the great work HOH does, I wanted to do something further as we want to ensure our neighbors in need are taken care...
"We've always had a great day at Family Fun Day and we're looking forward to trying the virtual version," shared Elenor Hyland.
