East End-Based Equine Rescue Presenting “Holiday Farm Lights Tour”

Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue in Riverhead is inviting the community to revel in the spirit of the season during a special “Holiday Farm Lights Tour” to be offered on select weekends in December.

“Our ‘Holiday Farm Lights Tour’ allows families to visit our farm with a beautifully decorated Christmas backdrop to celebrate the season,” Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue Founder and Owner Marisa Striano noted.

Sponsored by DXA Studio, the magical outdoor stroll will last 30 minutes. Tour-goers will experience stunning light displays, have the chance to check out Kris Kringle’s Workshop and even interact with some of the season’s most celebrated characters – including Santa’s Reindeer.

“What makes our experience special is that families will be able to walk through Santa’s Workshop and reindeer barn,” Striano shared. “Our [equine] reindeer barn will take your breath away and put a smile on your face that will last the entire holiday season.”

The “Holiday Farm Lights Tour” will be offered on Thursday, December 3, Friday, December 4, Saturday, December 5, Thursday, December 10, Friday, December 11, Saturday, December 12, Thursday, December 17, Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19. Tours will take place at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Admission to the charity walking tour is $22 per car and $18 per car for early birds. Pre-registration is required. Social distancing and masks will be required at all times.

Proceeds from the tour will support Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue’s capital campaign. “Our ‘Holiday Farm Lights Tour’ also marks the beginning of our capital campaign to build our barn expansion so we can serve more local families year-round through our equine coaching for people living with chronic disease and grief,” Striano added.
