While National Ugly Sweater Day falls on Friday, December 21, you don't have to wait until then to break out your heinous holiday gear.
'Tis the season to support your favorite local causes, many of which are hosting holiday soirees on Saturday, December 8 .
"We are excited to host Lighting of the Vines again this year to gather the community and support Fighting Chance," Nicolette Diodati shared.
The friendly competition took place at Herrick Park.
"Last year, and I would say for our 2017/18 winter program, we would have provided the shelter program to over 100 individuals and that would have totaled 2,498 beds for the seasonal," O'Shea told us.
"We are the first line of defense for vulnerable children and their families in New York City," said Dr. Pulido.
"When you take a child out of a home, they perceive it, intuitively, as some form of rejection, even as we perceive it as protecting and healing them outside of an abusive environment," Dr. Penny Grant told us.
"With help from Girls Night Out we can continue to offer support, strength and hope to the women diagnosed with breast and gynecological cancers," noted Susan Roden.
"Empowering the community one girl at a time," Tijuana Fulford told us is the organization's mission.
"In addition to being a festive night out with friends over cocktails, you'll have a chance to bid on a fantastic collection of raffle and auction prizes from local businesses," Lara Sweeney.
