As the holiday season approaches, the Choral Society of the Hamptons takes pride in enriching this festive time with the gift of music, fostering shared musical experiences for the community.
Mark your calendars for “A Christmas Garland: Bach, Rutter, & Saylor,” a magical event set to take place on December 3rd at the historic Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. There will be two enchanting performances at 3 pm and 5:30 pm, ensuring everyone can join in the celebration.
The Choral Society, renowned for its dedication to musical excellence since its establishment in 1946, invites you to experience a captivating repertoire featuring works by iconic choral composers such as JS Bach, John Rutter, and the esteemed Bruce Saylor. Notably, the concert will mark the debut of Saylor’s arrangement, “Star of Wonder,” adding a special touch to the evening. The composer himself will grace the event with his presence to commemorate this milestone.
Under the direction of the talented Song-A Cho, the Choral Society will be accompanied by the South Fork Chamber Orchestra, enhancing the auditory experience with the skillful blend of voices and instruments. Walter Klauss, a familiar face and frequent guest conductor, will lead the chorus in what promises to be a remarkable performance.
