In June of this year, Montauk’s Navy Beach began a campaign to raise awareness and support for the Navy SEAL Foundation. The initiative began with a cocktail party that raised over $5,000 and continued through July with more fundraising efforts at the restaurant. After the success of the first benefit event, Navy Beach held a “Dine & Donate” program all month where guests could voluntarily add an additional fee to their check at the end of the meal as a contribution to the Navy SEAL Foundation. Through the Dine & Donate program, the restaurant raised another $5,000 and has officially issued all $10,000 to the SEAL Foundation. The restaurant has extended the campaign to last through Labor Day with the goal of raising a total of $15,000 by the end of the summer.
All of the money raised will help fund the Navy SEAL Foundation’s various initiatives, which include financial support for SEALs and their families, mental health support, family counseling, and tragedy assistance.
Supporters are encouraged to check www.navybeach.com for information on upcoming fundraising events, or to donate directly via The Navy SEAL Foundation.
