On Saturday, August 29th, volunteers of all ages met at Flying Point Beach in Water Mill for the 2nd Annual Kids Beachcomber Clean-Up and Scavenger Hunt.
“I’m excited to be holding this event, sponsored by Beach Magazine, for the second year in a row and my goal is to have the Annual Kids Beach Comber Clean-Up and Scavenger Hunt become an annual tradition that kids, residents, and visitors look forward to each summer,” shared Southampton Town Councilwoman Christine Scalera.
While the sight of a debris free beach was enough for attendees, both the top beachcombers who collected the most litter and debris and the top scavengers who collected the most items on the list were rewarded with prizes donated from Dylan’s Candy Bar and Stevenson’s Toys & Games.
