“It is so important to keep your pets up to date on vaccines and ARF is pleased to provide these low cost services to the public, as well as microchipping,” shared Jamie Berger, Director of Marketing & Communications at Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF). On Saturday, February 13th, ARF is hosting an Open House and Low Cost Vaccine and Microchip Clinic at the ARF Adoption Center, where the East End community can take advantage of these holiday weekend steals from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. “With the recent stories of lost pets it is the best way to ensure if your animal is found you will get them back safely,” added Berger.
During the event, the public is invited to visit the Wainscott-based shelter to search for a furry, four-legged Valentine to share with their family. The Open House will also include refreshments and a low cost vaccination clinic that will offer Bordetella, distemper, FVRCP and rabies vaccines for just $10 each. But owners interested in having their animal vaccinated during the low cost clinic must make sure their cats or dogs are spayed/neutered prior to vaccination.
All Valentine’s Day Open House attendees will be entered in ARF’s “Romantic Raffle,” which features an overnight stay with breakfast for 2 (and your dog(s)) at c/o The Maidstone Hotel in East Hampton and a 3 course dinner for 2 at The Living Room, flowers, chocolate and champagne from Race Lane Liquors.

Over Valentine’s Day weekend, ARF will also take part in the “Operation Puppy Love” rescue, where they’ll be one of four rescue groups that will take in dogs from Puerto Rico who are in desperate need of a new living situation. The mission will save approximately 100 dogs and a few kittens that will be transported to the New York area, over 30 of which will end up ARF to await adoption.
