The Southampton Inn will be hosting Moving for Life Complimentary Dancing & Movement Classes this summer on select Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m.
Moving for Life is a non-profit organization, led entirely by women, devoted to cancer recovery through exercise and movement. Comprised of movement therapists, psychologists, doctors, and exercise specialists, this program encourages self-awareness and community.
Open to all community members – cancer survivors, family members, and friends – this summer series aims to inspire and heal through dance.
“The Southampton Inn is pleased to underwrite this pilot program of dance movement for cancer survivors,” explained Dede Gotthelf, Owner of the Southampton Inn. “This is a partnership of the Moving for Life organization which is comprised of amazing and concerned dance instructors.”
Instructor Bonnie McGlynn DeLuca, MA, DEP, MFCLI has been with Moving for Life for 15 years and will be teaching the summer classes. The sessions are free and will be held on Thursday, July 7th, Thursday, July 21st, Thursday, August 4th, and Thursday, August 18th. Light refreshments, courtesy of Café Klyde, will be served.
“We hope that our community members will be able to and enjoy participating in this opportunity,” added Gotthelf.
