This year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations offer three weekends worth of East End shenanigans.

The Westhampton St. Patrick’s Parade Committee will commence festivities during a Parade Fundraiser at Mill Roadhouse (142 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach) on Saturday, March 4th from 7 to 11 p.m. The evening will include music by New Life Crisis, bagpipes, the Committee’s famous raffles and a cash bar. Admission is a $20 donation and the event is open to those 21-years-old and over. The following weekend, Grand Marshal Jim Hulme will lead the “Come Together” themed Westhampton St. Patrick’s Parade (www.whbstpats.com). The parade will step-off at Oneck Lane and Mill Road on Saturday, March 11th at 12 p.m.
The Amagansett Library (15 Main Street, Amagansett) will host a pre-Am O’Gansett Parade Craft Time featuring greenish-fun crafts on Saturday, March 11th from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Then, blink and you’ll miss it because the “World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade” (www.amagansettchamber.org) will travel from Mary’s Marvelous through the Village beginning at 12 p.m. Joan Tulp will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal. Following the parade, bring little ones back to the Library for a Post Parade Kids Party with cupcake decorating and face painting by Salty Canvas from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
The 13th Annual Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade (www.cutchoguefiredept.org) will also take place on Saturday, March 11th. Hosted by the Cuthogue-New Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Cutchogue Fire Department, the merry march will begin at 2 p.m. and head from the traffic light at Cox Lane, down Route 25, ending in Cutchogue Village.

Grand Marshal Lars Clemensen will guide the Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day Parade (ww.hbaohdivision11.com) on Saturday, March 18th at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at the Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue, head to Montauk Highway, travel west towards the reviewing stand, and end at the Hampton Atrium parking lot.
The Fourth Annual East End Emerald Society’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade (eastendemeraldsociety.com) will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 1 p.m. Grand Marshal Riverhead Town Councilman James Wooten will lead the parade which will begin at the corner of North Railroad Avenue and Washington Avenue in Jamesport and head to the Jamesport Fire Department. And, don’t forget to stop by Jason’s Vineyard (1785 Main Road, Jamesport) after the parade for the Society’s Post Parade Party and 50-50 Raffle.

The final East End St. Paddy’s Day festivity is the Montauk Friends of Erin 55th St. Patrick’s Day Parade (www.montaukfriendsoferin.org) on Sunday, March 26th. Leading up to the big day, Montauk Friends of Erin will hold several exciting gatherings. On Saturday, March 11th, get your fill of a beloved traditional Irish meal during the 14th Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner at The Point Bar & Grill (697 Montauk Highway, Montauk), which will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Friday, March 24th, from 12 to 3 p.m., the Behan’s Grand Marshal Luncheon will take place at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk). The afternoon will include an introduction and roast of this year’s Grand Marshal, Eddie Ecker, Jr., as well as a presentation of his parade sash, top hat and shillelagh. The eve before the parade, a Gala Cocktail Party will be held at Gurney’s. Stop by on Saturday, March 25th, from 4 to 8 p.m., for live music, an open bar, buffet, and hope that the luck of the Irish is with you – as there will be a Pot of Gold Raffle. Finally, it’s time to cheer-on local hometown businesses and fire trucks, get into the spirit by having your face painted green, grab foam shamrocks and shillelaghs, and scoop up lucky beads and candy that will be thrown from the plethora of enchanting floats during the Montauk Friends of Erin 55th St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 26th. As per usual, the Montauk Chamber starts selling hot soup – that was donated by Montauk restaurants Tillie’s of Gurney’s Inn, Inlet Seafood, John’s Pancake House, Naturally Good, Shagwong and Pizza Village – in commemorative mugs at 10 a.m. A little later, at 11:30 a.m., the parade will step-off from Edgemere Road, turn on to Main Street where it will pass the reviewing stand on the green, and culminate at the end of Main Street by the IGA.
