The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will take runners and walkers through an idyllic seaside course.
“Join us on our beautiful course through Sagaponack, by the sea,” said Jill Carney, CTREE Program Coordinator. “We will have our super Chinese auction, plenty of refreshments and awards so grab a friend and come on over.”
Participation in this race will directly support the Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End (CTREE) which is a not-for-profit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy to children, adults, and veterans with cognitive, physical, or emotional disabilities. CTREE is the only center in Suffolk County that is fully accredited by PATH International (The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship).
Following the race, runners and walkers can take a chance on the extraordinary Chinese auction items, as well as relax, rehydrate and celebrate their achievement during an awards ceremony.
Pre-registration for the 5k is $25 in advance and $30 on the day-of registration. T-shirts will be included and guaranteed with all advanced registration. Awards will be given to the top overall race winners and top three in each age category (1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99).
