The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation and Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s free community Health Fair returns on Friday, November 2.
This Fair, which will take place at Montauk Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will offer a variety of essential services, including free flu shots, health screenings, applications for colorectal screenings and appointments for no-cost mammogram and pap tests.
“The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation is pleased to bring our series of free community health fairs to Montauk once again, this Friday,” Sheila Rogers, East Hampton Healthcare Foundation Director, relayed. “Presented in partnership with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, this is a great opportunity for the local community (including those without access to regular medical care) to receive important health screenings, free flu shots, and educational information from a variety of healthcare related resources and services.”
In addition to the wellness checks, there will also be representatives on hand and important information available from health insurance organizations, Hudson River HealthCare, the Town of East Hampton Human Services department, and The Retreat.
“These free health fairs are held October through March, generally on the first Friday of the month, with the other fairs taking place in East Hampton at the Most Holy Trinity School,” Rogers noted.
Additionally, attendees can chat with a nutrition educator about their eating habits. Healthy refreshments will be served.
