Montauk Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 42nd Annual “Run for Fun” Turkey Trot around Fort Pond on Thursday, November 22. The race will step off from the Montauk Green with the race check-in taking place between 8 and 9:30 a.m. Participants can select a 3 or 6-mile route. The entree fee ranges from $10 to $15. The Mattituck-Cutchogue Teachers’ Association 13th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will begin at 9 a.m. The 5K will start at the Mattituck High School and benefit the Pumillo family and the MCTA Senior Scholarship Fund. The Southampton Trails Preservation Society Annual Walk-It-Off Hike, presented with South Fork Natural History Museum and Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, will be held on Friday, November 23. The fast-paced hike will offer amazing views of Round Pond, Long Pond, and Little Long Pond.
