A weekend’s worth of fun for an amazing cause – Katy’s Courage – is taking place on Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1.
“We’re so excited for the Weekend of Events for a Great Cause!” Katy’s Courage Co-Founders Brigid Collins and Jim Stewart expressed.
While typically the non-profit’s Love Bites benefit is held earlier in the year, the 2020 iteration will kick-off the back-to-back benefits. Katy’s Courage’s a Weekend of Events for a Good Cause will launch with the tasting event on Saturday, February 29 at The Bridgehampton Community House (2368 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton). From 7 to 11 p.m. bites and sips from more than 20 beloved chefs and restaurants will be showcased. There will also be tunes by DJ Michael of East End Entertainment, an exciting silent auction, Golfer’s Ultimate Dream Raffle, and more.
“Love Bites is always a great way to kick-off Katy’s Courage event season and we’re thrilled that the Skate-a-Thon will be the next day,” Collins and Stewart shared.

Proceeds from both benefits will support Katy’s Courage, a Sag Harbor-based organization founded in honor of Katy Stewart, an inspirational 12-year-old girl who died from a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. The not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to championing education, children’s bereavement support and pediatric cancer research.
