With so much of our lives moving online because of the pandemic, on Friday, November 13 you can tune in to some animal cuteness courtesy of Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF), who will be highlighting a few very special ARFans virtually during the #Catsgiving Adoption Event.
“As we continue to conduct adoptions at ARF by appointment only, we are hoping to bring some extra attention to our fabulous felines – in an effort to find them their forever homes,” Jamie Berger, ARF Director of Marketing & Communications, explained.
ARF’s inaugural online adoption event, taking place on their YouTube channel, will feature 12 cats looking for their furever homes. The felines will range in age from 2 to 17 and include both longhaired and shorted haired and various colors.
“The more cats that get adopted allows us to rescue more cats in need,” Berger added. There are currently 22 cats available for adoption at ARF.
#Catsgiving will commence at 12:00 p.m.
Additionally, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons will continue its Pet Food Pantry efforts on Saturday, November 21 – for both cat and dog food donations, as well as for food pick up for those in need – at the Adoption Center in East Hampton.
To date, ARF has collected and distributed approximately 1,350 units of food through the pet food pantry. For those interested in donating, unopened bags of cat and dog food (both wet and dry) and treats are needed.
Those dropping off or picking up food must don a mask and social distancing will be observed. Both drop off and pick up will be held from 12:00 pm. to 3:00 p.m.
The ARF Adoption Center is located at 124 Daniels Hole Road in East Hampton. For more information, visit arfhamptons.org.
