There’s no doubt that the bond between pet and owner is incredibly special. Since Valentine’s Day will most likely look a little different this year, and you’ll probably be spending it with your Valentine and fur baby at home, Bideawee is encouraging all to celebrate that unconditional love through the no-kill pet welfare organization’s Show & Share the Love Valentine’s Day photo contest and appeal.
“Our furry family members have enriched our lives and brought us infinite amounts of joy, peacefulness, and stress relief over these past ten months, and we can’t think of a better way to pay tribute than by including them in our Valentine’s Day plans,” said Leslie Granger, President and CEO of Bideawee.
From Friday, February 5 through Monday, February 15, you can show off your beloved dog or cat companion by submitting a photo of your family’s pet-friendly Valentine’s Day festivities. Make sure to get creative with the shot, as the Valentine’s Day photo contest winner will be showcased on Bideawee’s social media, website – and on items available for purchase in their online store.
“At the heart of every Bideawee rescue and adoption is dedication and everlasting love, and through this February initiative we will be the heroes for the companion animals who in turn do the same for us,” Granger noted.
The Show & Share the Love winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 16. To submit a photo, visit www.bideawee.org.
Bideawee is also hoping to raise funds for adoptees awaiting their first Valentine’s Day with their forever family through the Valentine’s Day appeal. Proceeds raised during the fundraising campaign will support Bideawee’s year-round efforts to rescue, take care of, and find the perfect match for homeless cats and dogs.
And, of course, if you’re looking to add some love to your life, there’s several adorable animals patiently waiting to meet you. Last year, Bideawee found forever homes for 1,663 animals. The animal rescue has outposts in New York City, Wantagh, and Westhampton.
