Crash Cantina is the hottest new dining spot in the Hamptons. This indoor/outdoor restaurant, with an eclectic dining room and expansive patio, is part of The Inn Spot, overlooking stunning views of the bay. Located at 32 Lighthouse Road, Hampton Bays, they are a Latin American-inspired restaurant on the water, open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Their name was created with the idea of innovation and tradition crashing into one another, and they invite everyone to be part of the experience this summer!
Head of Culinary and Operations at EHP Hospitality Group Dane Sayles spoke about how Crash Cantina came into conception and what those in the Hamptons can expect from the eclectic establishment for the 2023 summer season. He says, “With the property set directly on the water boasting stunning sunset views, we felt like there was a unique opportunity to bring a Latin-American concept to Hampton Bays. We knew that in the demographic of the Hamptons, a location or restaurant like this is a different experience.” He expressed that Crash Cantina “offers quintessential waterfront Hamptons dining.”
One of the elements that already sets Crash Cantina apart is their unmatched drink selection—and value. They have an expansive list of mezcal, tequila, and margaritas from classic to spicy watermelon, and beyond. Dane says, “At Crash Cantina, we pride ourselves in making great margaritas and have an extensive collection of tequilas and mezcals. This summer, we are offering $10 margaritas all day all summer long. From classic margaritas to passionfruit to mango, there is certainly a choice for everyone.” Their list of specialty cocktails doesn’t stop at tequila and mezcal as they also have a variety of mojitos, sangria, a fresh cucumber basil gimlet, an extensive beer and wine list, and much more from their full bar. This makes Crash Cantina the perfect spot to grab a drink and unwind after a day at the beach or out on the water.
Equally as impressive as their drink menu, is their food offerings. With a focus on seafood, they have an array of tacos, starters, bowls, and more. Some of their popular menu items include the Duck Confit Nachos, Tempura Fluke Tacos, Local Oysters and Montauk Fluke Ceviche, and the Signature Crash Rice Bowl. Dane, however, offered some insider selections and personal favorites. He says, “I would say some must-try menu items are the Al Pastor Tacos, the Roasted Cauliflower with mole blanco and charred onions, and the Taco Salad that uses a great variety of vegetables and has a smooth avocado ranch dressing.”
The food, drinks, waterfront and sunset views, and the eclectic ambiance all work together to make Crash Cantina an elevated experience that fills a gap in the Hamptons dining scene. Dane says, “I would say Crash Cantina is absolutely adding value to the Hamptons dining scene. Our differentiator from other Latin-American restaurants in the Hamptons is that none are directly on the water with breathtaking views like we are.” He went on to say that he appreciates the customers on the East End because “[they] have an open-minded approach and willingness to try new culinary experiences. It allows our team to get creative with interesting menu items and cocktails.”
Head over to Crash Cantina on the water this summer to delight your tastebuds and senses as you enjoy the mouthwatering Latin American cuisine, sweet and refreshing drinks, and unforgettable sunset and bay views.
