Rosie’s is the Hamptons’ “Goldilocks bar”—not too crowded and not too empty; not too fancy and not too dive-y; not Murffs and not Mobys—Rosies is just right! That makes it sound like the bar is defined by what it isn’t, but that isn’t true. Rosies’ identity is entirely its own, and I always feel right at home with the other clientele.
Rosie’s finds the right balanced mix of cosmopolitan and coastal-casual sensibilities—eating, drinking, and togethering—perfectly representing the Hamptons.
The vibe is equal parts casual and elegant – not unlike a Manhattan speakeasy. Something is definitely up this Summer, it’s hard to put your finger on it, but I think it has to do with how many long-time friends the bar attracts. Laughter shared between lifelong friends is infectious; you can feel the Hamptons community getting ready for the Summer at Rosie’s.
But it’s definitely not a “locals-only bar.” I’ve never seen anyone get big leagued for not being from here, just cheers and handshakes. If you’re here for the Summer, Rosie’s is a glimpse into the best aspects of the Hamptons community.
The space is intimate but not cramped, like the volume: music and conversations bring the bar alive, but you can be heard without screaming. I love how the space is designed, with large gold accented mirrors and soft, warm wall lighting.
I love the Talkhouse, but honestly, sometimes I just can’t handle the scene. So, I walk up Main Street, and Rosies is just right. Plus, they have delicious food!
During the day, Rosies’ is a delightful place to eat, especially if you’re about to hit the beach. The focus on casual is an unexpected twist, especially considering how elevated their offerings are. Putting a fresh spin on traditional American fare, Rosies’ thoughtfully crafted menus are designed for foodies and picky-eaters alike.
Dinner is served at the bar and a row of tables, including a private 8-top at the rear of the restaurant. The tables can easily be moved to create a great dance floor. The outside space is mega cute, and ordering right from their outdoor window is effortless. Fuel your morning workout or grab a bite before a day on the water. And as the sun sets, swing back by for our dinner menu featuring a selection of small plates, signature cocktails, and more.
Trust me, this is important: The bar chairs are easily the best in the Hamptons. EASILY. Wide and tall with wraparound armrests, they’ll make you want to order another Martini. The emerald cushions and gold metal are an eye-catching pop of color that adds to the elegant interiors.
The sound equipment is next-level, filling the bar with a driving bass that is super clean (no rattle)! Rosies is hosting tons of events and pop-ups this Summer, so make sure you check out their lineup of DJs and events.
Service is fast and friendly, especially when Carly is working. She makes a mean mixed drink and always smiles, even when it’s busy! Can you say you’re from the Hamptons if you’ve never had the Grey Garden-themed cocktail??
