Wainscott Heritage Project and Build.In.Kind / East Hampton

Wainscott Heritage Project was formed to preserve the history and cultural character of Wainscott by protecting its historic structures and significant viewsheds, and to encourage programs that foster and maintain an appreciation for the hamlet's traditions and sense of community.

Build.In.Kind / East Hampton seeks to restore rational restraint and inspire desire for more modulated proportions in order to mitigate the negative impact of development activity on our Town by instilling a “stewardship mindset” and sowing a “land ethic.”
