East Meets West Jazz Jam Session featuring REEB
East End Jazz in collaboration with the Southampton Cultural Center (SCC) is excited to announce the return of its free, monthly community event, the “East Meets West Jazz Jam Session.”
The next session will take place on Sunday, November 2nd from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Southampton Cultural Center at 25 Pond Lane, Southampton, NY. This jam session offering a welcoming space for musicians and music lovers alike.
The November 2nd session will kick off with a special 35-minute performance by Real East End Brass, better known as REEB! This New Orleans-style brass band, composed of local East End musicians and educators, is known for their high-energy, one-of-a-kind performances that blend jazz, funk and pop music.
Following the featured performance, the stage will open up for the jazz jam session. After a successful inaugural event, Iris Ornig, bassist, composer and Director of East End Jazz, expressed her enthusiasm for continuing the series.
