VERRAZZANO: In His Own Words
On Sunday, May 5th at 3 pm at the Montauk Library, there will be a reading of a new play, VERRAZZANO in his own words based on Verrazzano’s historic letter to the King of France describing his Voyage to North America in 1524. The solo play features Bob Spiotto as the Renaissance man who discovered New York. This event is funded by a Creative Communities/Long Island Arts Grant. Long Island Arts Grants are made possible with funds from the State & Local Partnerships (SLP) program of New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, and administered by Huntington Arts Council.
