The John Chamberlain Estate and the Bridgehampton Museum present BURNTPIANO (Green) (2008), a monumental outdoor sculpture by John Chamberlain, on view May 23, 2026 through 2027 at the Nathaniel Rogers House. Organized with filmmaker Lana Jokel, the installation reflects Chamberlain’s innovative large-scale foil works and his deep ties to the East End, where the concept originated. Known for pushing material boundaries, Chamberlain transformed aluminum foil into dynamic sculptural forms. This presentation underscores the Museum’s growing contemporary art program while honoring a pivotal figure in postwar American art and his lasting connection to the region.
