There is no doubt in my mind that you have driven by this restaurant hundreds of times and have said to yourself, “I should try that place.”
Let me tell you right now TRY IT! Pelligrino’s in Southampton is freaking incredible. I arrived with my wife and daughter and met up with Brendan Connolly, a top agent at Saunders & Associates, and his family and we instantly felt relaxed and at home.
The menu at Pellegrino’s features classic Italian dishes, such as pasta, pizza, and seafood, as well as some unique specials that change regularly. All of the food is made from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the portions are generous.
The restaurant is in a charming old house, which adds to the warmth and intimacy of the dining experience. The interior is tastefully decorated with warm colors, comfortable seating, and soft lighting, which creates a relaxed and inviting ambiance that includes a fireplace in the main dining area and a super cool and lively bar area.
I love authenticity, and you get that here. The restaurant is unapologetic about its humble location and commitment to quality ingredients and wood-fired pizza. It has a following of diners, who all rave about it when you speak to them while your there. “I can’t believe I’ve never come in here,” I told our waitress who left, “People always say that and then I see them week after week!”
What’s also cool about this spot is that you can get New York Style pizza for takeout, which they don’t serve in the restaurant and is a large traditional-styled pizza, so you now have no excuse to try the food here!
