P.volve is hitting the beach this summer. The dynamic fitness method co-founded by Rachel Katzman will be offered Wednesday through Saturday at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton. P.volve trainers Zach Morris, Maeve McEwen and Antonietta Vicario will lead the weekly strength & sculpt, bounce & sculpt, and cardio burn sessions.
We caught up with Katzman to learn about the unique workout, legendary p.ball – of course, and much more.
Could you speak to the P.volve method and its benefits?
RK: P.volve is really rethinking fitness by combining dynamic joint movement and resistance-based equipment to activate and strengthen each and every muscle. Our method teaches you to learn to move your body in the way it was designed to move but mimicking the way you move in real-world situations. What’s so special is that no matter what type of fitness journey you’re on, P.volve helps to build strength, mobility, and balance in various ways. In addition to being in the Hamptons this summer, we have on-demand and live classes, patented equipment, and studios in LA/NYC/CHI.
What classes will be offered as part of the Topping Rose House series?
RK: We’re offering our signature Strength & Sculpt workout at Topping Rose all summer. What’s great about this class is it offers a challenge to any fitness level, blending sculpting exercises with resistance training to strengthen and tone the body. Except an intense burn that will leave no muscle untouched, and leave you feeling totally opened and energized. P.volve is also offering Cardio Burn, a workout with quicker tempo and high-energy moves that help build better muscle endurance while still incorporating movement to sculpt, tone, and energize the entire body.
Classes are often complimented with P.volve’s patented, resistance-based equipment – including the p.ball and p.band. How did you come up with the unique apparatuses?
RK: All of our products have been developed to solve a problem and find a solution that wasn’t currently in the marketplace. Inner thighs, glutes, lower core, upper body – all big body focuses our members are looking to target and we needed to find a new solution that aligned with our functional fitness method. These products are tools to help you engage muscles and become more in tune with muscles that you may have not felt before. We also heavily use these products in our specialty content, specifically the p.ball in our pelvic floor series.
Trainers Zach Morris, Maeve McEwen and Antonietta Vicario will be leading the Hamptons classes. What can class-goers expect from these fitness gurus?
RK: They’re truly the dream team. Zach brings the energy, Maeve brings the heat, and Antonietta is the all-star. All three of them are incredible lead trainers of P.volve who you can catch in the Hamptons all summer long or on our on-demand platform.
P.volve’s on-demand platform offers hundreds of digital classes. What is your go-tos?
RK: If I’m short on time I love our quick boost category – all videos pack a punch in 15 mins or under or if I’m looking for something more structured I love the total body strength program, it combines both our sculpting & cardio workouts.
When relaxing in the Hamptons, what are some of the spots you have to visit?
RK: I am such a home body, which is what I love about the Hamptons, you can create your own little retreat right at home. I do love Halsey Farm for fresh fruits and veggies, Joanna Czech is having a pop up during the summer for facials, Peters Pond Beach for relaxing by the water, and of course my go-to is a P.volve class at Topping Rose.
Topping Rose House is located at 1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton.
