Hamptons Chefs George Hirsch And Joe Realmuto Featured At South Beach Wine And Food Festival

The Hamptons have so many delicious restaurants to choose from, so it is no surprise that this years South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBE), will feature two Hamptons chefs. Chef and lifestyle TV host George Hirsch along with executive chef of Nick & Toni’s, Rowdy Hall, La Fondita and Townline BBQ, Joe Realmuto, will be participating in Moet Hennessy’s The Q Hosted by Paula Deen and Sons, one of the kickoff events for SOBE. Hirsch will prepare grilled fillet of beef chilaquiles and Realmuto will prepare grilled lamb loin on a johnny cake with yogurt BBQ sauce for the event where 40 of the country’s top BBQ chefs will serve up signature dishes.

Both are excited to be part of the event which is one of the country’s top food festivals. It draws an all star lineup of chefs including Emeril Lagasse, Anne Burrell, Masaharu Morimoto, Anthony Bourdain, Giada De Laurentiis, Nobu Matsuhisa, Todd English and Duff Goldman. Realmuto said, “I am looking forward to being part of such a big event and have the opportunity to meet chefs from all over the country! Usually we only participate in the local events, so I am very excited.”

Hirsch will be busy at the festival serving as co-host of the Sears Grilling is Happiness Lounge with Ty Pennington and judge at the Burger Bash evaluating top burgers from notable chefs including Bobby Flay, Marc Murphy, and Laurent Tourendel. He will also be featured in Amstel Light Burger Bash hosted by Rachel Ray and Guy Fieri’s Reggae Jam with Ziggy Marley Live. Hirsch said, “I am thrilled to be judging at Burger Bash Hosted by Rachael Ray, as well as hosting three events as spokesman for Sears Outdoor Living, launching Sears new Kenmore Elite Grill and Lighted Patio Collections at SOBEWFF 2013.” He continued, “SOBE is the hottest outdoor culinary event and I am in great company with all the finest celebrity chefs plating-up spectacular dishes shoulder to shoulder and let’s not forget we are all coming together benefiting a very important cause to me, to further education.”
