Located along the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, B.Smith’s restaurant has been a staple of the East End for 17 years. After restaurateur, model, author and television host Barbara “B.” Smith decided not to re-open the seasonal spot for 2014, restaurateur Richie Notar snapped up the prime Hamptons real estate and will open an outpost of his midtown hotspot Harlow.
“I’ve lived in the Hamptons for years and years and years, so I know there are very limited options for sitting by a boat or a bit of water,” Notar told Curbed Hamptons. “I really like that inviting feeling on the water; we’re right on the marina and the property is very approachable. So when the opportunity crossed my desk I was very keen to do it.”
The nautical themed location should make its debut by Mother’s Day. Expect a relaxed East End vibe at the eatery which will be seafood focused. The menu will include dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients as well as favorites from the Manhattan restaurant.
