Hamptons foodies watching Cooking Channel’s new show, “Beach Bites with Katie Lee,” will probably recognize at least one spot they visit during the premiere, “Doing the Island Hop.” The show, which is hosted by Hamptons resident Katie Lee, filmed scenes for the first episode in Montauk.
“Doing the Island Hop” will debut on Tuesday, August 25th at 9:30 p.m., and include footage at Montauk Shellfish Company and Navy Beach, where Lee will enjoy Oyster Escabeche, with oysters she helped harvest. The host will also sample fresh Ahi Tuna Nachos and assist with a one-of-a-kind Caribbean Stewed Chicken.
Throughout the season, Lee will beach hop from locations like St. Thomas, Mackinac Island, Michigan, and Montauk, to explore the local take on island favorites. Episodes will showcase cocktails, sweet treats, and other island hopping excursions.
