On Saturday, December 19th, Amagansett Food Institute (AFI) is celebrating the holidays by highlighting local vendors during its inaugural seasonal event. “AFI looks forward to our first holiday market hosted at the Amagansett Farmers Market,” shared Jessica Engle, Program Coordinator of the Amagansett Food Institute. “The holiday market will give people a chance to buy directly from local food business owners whose opportunities to sell directly to the consumer are reduced at this time of year.”
From 12 to 5 p.m., shoppers can browse through a variety of offerings from East End farms and food producers, which will be on display at the Amagansett Farmers Market. “Shop for holiday gifts from Amagansett Sea Salt Co., Southampton Soap Co., Goodfood, Invincible Summer Farms, Old School Favorites and more,” added Engle. With the days to Christmas quickly ticking down, the festive happening is a great spot to pick up a thoughtful last minute present, like a gift basket filled with the ultimate seasoning mix from Arlotta Olive Oil, Amagansett Sea Salt Co., Holy Schmitt’s. If you’re into DIY, you can even purchase an assortment of products and make your own.

With it being the season of giving, AFI hopes the event really shines a light on the featured Long Island-based vendors. “Our motto for the market is ‘Eat Local, Give Local,'” noted Engle.
In addition to the Holiday Market, the Amagansett Farmers Market will hold a sale on Saturday, December 19th and Sunday, December 20th featuring 50 percent off of its New York State specialty items.
Admission to the Holiday Market is free.
