When East Hampton Point re-opens for the season over Memorial Day weekend, Chef Craig Attwood will be back at the helm of the premier Three Mile Harbor waterfront resort and restaurant. Chef Attwood served as the East Hampton Point executive chef from 2008 to 2010, and with his exciting return, he will launch a new signature menu this summer.
“My new menu for East Hampton Point is focused on coastal cuisine with dishes for our guests to enjoy again and again in our special setting,” Chef Attwood shared.
Dubbed a “kitchen commander” by The New York Times, his seafood centric New American cuisine combines tradition with eclectic preparation, focusing on raw dishes, small plates and entrees that highlight local bounty.
New raw dishes include local catch ceviche with pineapple, coconut milk and chilies; tuna poke with soy, sesame, ginger, togarashi and crispy rice; citrus cured salmon with cucumber kimchi and crème fraiche; steak tartare with quail egg, spring onion and wild mushroom; as well as with baby and grand plateaus featuring oysters, clams, shrimp and crabmeat cocktails, and tuna poke.
Small plate highlights consist of smoked blue fish pate, blue crab toast and grilled Spanish octopus; Berkshire pork ribs with coriander-thyme rub and orange blossom honey; burrata with strawberry rhubarb gastrique; and salads of watercress and endive, heirloom beets and baby lettuces.
As for entrees, East Hampton Point will offer something to satisfy all, such as roasted Atlantic skate with lobster fried rice, peas, asparagus and miso; grilled Montauk tilefish with pickled beets, yogurt, fava greens and cumin; grilled Faroe Island salmon with cous cous, artichokes and nicoise olives; and East End bouillabaisse with local fish, mussels, lobster, fennel, potato and saffron. Roasted free-range chicken; Allen Bros. NY strip steak; Rustichella rigatoni; and wild mushroom risotto will also be featured.
Additionally, East Hampton Point will introduce a refreshed, “chic-casual” dining décor, weekly specials and events, and YACHTLIFE® charters from the marina.
