The Southampton Fire Department Juniors are wrapping up the holiday weekend by inviting all to join them for a delicious Pancake Breakfast benefit on Sunday, December 1.
“The Pancake Breakfast is the Southampton Junior Fire Department’s annual fundraiser,” Eric Halsey, Captain of the Southampton Fire Department and advisor to the Juniors, shared. “The money raised goes towards programs for these young people to teach them about fire fighting and encourage participation in the Department.”
The Southampton Fire Department Juniors program was established in 2002 “with the goals of involving the youth of our community in a positive healthy activity, to benefit the department with new recruits and to help foster the spirit of volunteerism in our community.” It is open to boys and girls ages 12 to 18.
From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., mounds of mouthwatering pancake goodness will be served up to attendees at the Hampton Road Firehouse in Southampton. There will also be a Chinese Auction featuring gift certificates from local eateries, as well as exciting items donated by many of the area businesses.
“In conjunction with the breakfast we hold a Chinese Auction and the proceeds from this are divided equally between the Fireman’s Home in Hudson New York and a local organization, The Flying Point Foundation for Autism,” Halsey added.
Tickets to The Southampton Junior Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under and free for those under 2.
Southampton Fire House is located at 470 Hampton Road in Southampton.
