Whether you’re actually Irish or just enjoy a good St. Patrick’s Day celebration, here are eight festive cocktails to sip on as you let the luck of the Irish be with you.
1. The Black Opal: (Created by Jacques Bezuidenhout)
Directions: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled wine glass or small pint glass without ice. Garnish with some grated or ground cinnamon powder. (Guinness Note: Take a pint of Guinness before hand and use a bar spoon to stir it up for about 30 seconds. This removes some of the Co2.)
2. The Blarney Stone:
Directions: Add shot of Pinnacle Chocolate Whipped Vodka into your beer for a true creamy taste.
3. Irishman in Hawaii:
Directions: In a rocks glass, combine all ingredients and lightly muddle basil leaves. Top with crushed ice. Garnish with a pineapple slice.
4. Hornitos Green Mexican:
Directions: Fill a Collins glass with ice. Add Hornitos Plata Tequila and Midori, fill rest of glass with sour mix, and garnish with an orange slice.
5. Cruzan Good Luck Punch:
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve.
6. Leprechaun’s Limeade:
Directions: Muddle limes, shake, pour. Garnish with lime.
7. Lucky March Mojito:
Directions: Shake rum, lime juice and agave nectar in cocktail shaker with ice. Top with Skinnygirl Prosecco and sparkling water, and pour into tall Collins glass. Muddle in mint leaves and enjoy.
8. Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Shamrock Bellini:
Directions: Add the peach flesh to a blender and puree until smooth. Combine the Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio and the club soda in a wineglass, then add the peach puree. Stir, garnish with mint, and serve.
