Close Out The Weekend By Raising A Glass To National Rum Day

If rum is your spirit of choice, celebrate National Rum Day (Sunday, August 16) with one of these tasty sips.

RumHaven Jungle Bird:

.2 oz. RumHaven

.75 oz. Italian Aperitivo

.2 oz. Pineapple Juice

.25 oz. Simple Syrup

.25 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Lime Wheel, for garnish

Pineapple Slice, for garnish

Directions: Add ingredients into an ice-filled shaker, and shake together. Strain into an ice-filled double rocks glass. Garnish with pineapple and lime.

Cutwater Spirits Bali Hai Daiquiri:

2 oz. Cutwater Bali Hai Tiki Gold Rum

1 oz. fresh Lime Juice

3/4 oz. Simple Syrup

Lime Wheel, for garnish

Directions: Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into an up glass or on the rocks. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Pistachio’s Nest:

.2 oz. Ron Barceló Gran Añejo

1/2 oz. Chartreuse

1/2 oz. Pistachio syrup

1/2 oz. Lemon juice

.1 Egg white

Edible fFowers (optional), for garnish

Directions: Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a champagne coupe. To create foam, use 2 egg whites and decorate with edible flowers (optional).
