The harvesting of grapes is considered to be one of the most vital steps in the winemaking process. On Saturday, October 11th, Wölffer Estate Vineyard is commemorating this year’s collection during their Harvest Party 2015.
From 12 to 5 p.m., the East End community and Columbus Day weekend visitors are invited to gather at the Wölffer Residence for an afternoon of live music by Clinton Curtis, festive fall fare, Wölffer wine and cider, barrel rolling and pumpkin rolling, arts and crafts for kids, hayrides, pony rides, a petting zoo, shopping at The Styleliner, and more. Attendees can say they had a hand (or foot) in assisting with the process by taking part in a round or two of grape stomping.
The celebration will also serve as the end of the Summer in a Bottle Surfboard Giveaway. The winner of a custom-designed 7-foot Modern Blackbird longboard from Flying Point Surf & Skate, wrapped by Ocean Graphics in the flora and fauna that adorns Wölffer’s Summer in a Bottle White and Rosé wines, will be announced during the Harvest Party.
Admission is $135 per person, $125 per person for Wine Club members, $75 per child (ages 2 to 12-years-old), and free for children under 2-years-old.
The Lawn at the Wölffer Residence is located at 183 Sagg Road in Sagaponack. For more information, call 631-537-5106 or visit www.wolffer.com.
